No matter what level of fitness you’re starting from, we’ll meet you at the finish line and we’ll all be cheering each other on!
In collaboration with Muvement and under the guidance of their certified running coaches, this 8 week program will safely train and condition your body so that you not only finish, but you’ll also improve your performance, overall fitness and mobility in the process.
The first FREE information session will take place in the Collaborative Community Classroom and the remaining sessions will be held at MUVEMENT in Manchester. The first information session will be on the Tuesday the 25th at 7pm and all remaining session being on Wednesday nights from 7:00pm-8:00pm.
Each participant will be given 1 of 2 running plans. There will be a beginners walk/run plan and a more advanced plan for those who might have some running experience and are looking to improve their form and time.
The sessions will be focused on learning proper running form, as well as stretching and other injury prevention type exercises. There will also be a discussion time built into each session where people can ask questions, or voice any concerns or issues they might be experiencing. Each participant will have access to the trainers at Muvement throughout the program to ask any questions.
We will also have a walk/run-through of the course the Saturday morning before the race so people can get a lay of the land and have a better idea as to what to expect.
Muvement will send multiple e-mails each week with tips, motivational messages, and other content to help keep everyone on task and motivated.
