Evelyn is an onsite nutritionist at Collaborative Natural Health Partners. She holds a Master’s Degree in Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport and a BS in Family Studies from UCONN. She’s also a certified health coach and yoga teacher and has several trainings and certifications in the culinary arts, specialty nutrition, fitness, personal development and energy healing. Her lifelong passion for health and nutrition was spurred by her own healing journey with Hashimoto’s and hormonal imbalances. Her struggles inspired her educational pursuits and a deep appreciation for the mind-body connection and the natural, functional medicine approach to health and healing.
In addition to an extensive corporate career, Evelyn has been involved in workplace wellness programs, headed up Research and Development for a supplement beverage company and facilitated culinary based yoga retreats and workshops locally and on the West Coast. She enjoys working with clients one on one and teaches group programs related to weight loss, real food eating, mindfulness, digestive health, nutrition awareness, etc..
Evelyn helps clients develop stronger connections with food and how different foods effect health, energy, mood, weight and overall balance. Rather than resorting to caloric restriction or overly strict diets, Evelyn fosters a collaborative approach with physician and patient to empower the patient to better understand food and physiology, mindfulness, lifestyle balance and self awareness. She meets clients where they are in their journey and believes that by making small, consistent shifts, patients can experience sustainable results and improvements in health over time.
A Connecticut native, wife and mom to three daughters, Evelyn enjoys spending time with family and friends and hiking nearby trails with her dogs. She’s been a Crossfitter (a functional fitness and weight lifting program) for the past 6 years and has been practicing yoga for over 20 years.
